Making Memories: Mulberry Lane
Visiting Mulberry Lane Farm in Hilbert is always fun, but going during their Pumpkin Harvest Celebration with the hayride and picking out your own (FREE) pumpkins--make it a memorable Fall adventure. This is the perfect time of year for making memories with your family during a visit to the farm.
A visit to the farm is a hands on experience. They encourage all guests to touch, feed, and interact with the farm animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult while at the farm and visiting the animal pens.
"Fall is always a wonderful time of year to get out of the house and enjoy the colors of the harvest during our Pumpkin Harvest Celebration. And what better place to enjoy the colors than a ride in the country to Mulberry Lane Farm. Our farm guests enjoy the opportunity to cuddle a kitten, pet a pig, catch a chicken, milk a cow, and more," said Farmer Bonnie,
"And of course, enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick their own free pumpkin. On weekends the farm's food trailer is open with freshly dipped caramel apples, hot mini donuts, chili, hot apple cider & hot chocolate, and a few other fall delectables."
Safety guidelines during the pandemic
With consideration of COVID, they encourage everyone to follow practical social distancing measures and other safety guidelines, and wear a mask, if they are comfortable doing so, but they don't require it since they are basically an outdoor venue. The farm has adopted many safety measures including, but limited to, additional sanitizer and hand-wash stations throughout. Each pen has disinfectant spray bottles and the Pen Pals are instructed to disinfect high traffic areas throughout the day i.e. gate latches, doorknobs, pen gates, etc. They've also added a third wagon to the hayride train. This allows the guests to spread out more and they go out more often to accommodate those needs.
Family fun
From May through October there is family fun to be had at the farm and petting zoo.
The first weekend in May kicks off the season with the Spring Baby Farm Animals Event and the adorable baby animals make their debut. Chicks and ducklings, kittens and bunnies, lambs and kid goats, piglets and calves all await your visit.
Carry-ins are allowed, and they have a picnic area and a playground so you can make a day of it!
The farm has special promotions for Mother's Day, Father's Day, for Veteran's on Memorial Day, and on Grandparent's Day.
